 Making Strides of Boston

We encourage everyone that can join in the walks to do so and support the fundraising efforts. If joining in is difficult for you, just come out to cheer everyone on! There is a need for volunteers to get involved as well.

The Boston event is part of a larger community of caring. All across the country, more than a million people participate in similar events to make a difference. With your help, groundbreaking breast cancer research moves forward. Important progress is continually being made in education, prevention, treatment and early diagnosis to eliminate this disease.

Fun can be had by joining in with friends, family members and fellow workers on teams. This cause requires harnessing the resources and strength of caring members of our society. You will find participating or watching this great event to be uplifting and heartwarming. Those striding with you may be the ones you are helping.

Enjoy the Full Boston Red Sox Home Game Experience

Boston's best attractions are summer home games at Fenway.

Now is the time to come to Boston to see our beloved Red Sox swing some bats. There's a palpable excitement in the city over Pedro Martinez's Hall of Fame induction, and an electric buzz marks the charge through the second half of the season. Pedro may be on the DL, but that won't stop us attending the upcoming series. There's nothing quite like Boston's favorite team, and there's no better way to spend the day than at Red Sox home games.

Boston Red Sox Home Game

Baseball is more than a pastime here in Boston; it's a lifestyle. The Boston Red Sox and Fenway Park are as iconic to this city as that tea party back in 1773. Watching Big Papi launch home runs over the Green Monster is part of what drives us, and we want to share it with you. Upcoming home games include:

  • The Tampa Bay Rays July 31 to August 2
  • The Yankees August 31 to September 1
  • The Phillies September 4 to 6

Tickets for big series such as against New York can go quickly, so be sure to get yours ahead of time!

If you're coming into the city to see a game, then you'll want somewhere to crash afterwards. Having a hotel near Fenway is not only convenient for games but for the other things to do in Boston as well. Boston's Run to Home Base Set for July 25

Run and walk through the streets of Boston and finish up at Fenway Park

One of the most heartwarming and fun events in the Hub will once again take place on July 25 with a veterans fundraising race that Boston has come to adopt with plenty of vigor. The Run to Home Base begins in the streets of Boston before concluding at home plate in the iconic Fenway Park.

This nine-mile run or two-mile walk, depending on your interest, will not only help benefit the Boston Red Sox Foundation but also give a boost to the Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program.

The Home Base Program was set up to aid the returning troops from Afghanistan and Iraq who have struggled to reintegrate themselves into society. The toll it's taken on them is reflected in the struggles their families have endured. The money raised by the organization is helping to make sure that their sacrifice isn't forgotten.

This is a charity event Boston and all of New England truly puts its heart into every year. This means that you not only have the opportunity to engage in a healthy endeavor, but you can do a great deal to help our brave warriors who have kept us safe.

If you're coming in from outside the area, we invite you to stay with us at the Residence Inn Boston Back Bay. We're conveniently located in the heart of the city and just steps away from Fenway Park. Our hotels offers suites with full kitchens, free wireless Internet access, a free daily breakfast buffet and a heated indoor rooftop pool.
